Dr. Jaswyn is a registered clinical psychologist both in Singapore and Australia. She has more than 10 years of experience working in the acute hospital where she provided psychological interventions for various mental health issues including anxiety, depression, grief, insomnia, OCD, personality disorders, stress management and trauma. She is also experienced in providing emotional and psychological support to patients suffering from physical health issues such as cancer, cardiac issues, chronic pain and headaches, diabetes, epilepsy, HIV, Parkinson’s disease and strokes. Aside from psychological intervention, Dr Jaswyn also conducted neuropsychological assessment for individuals with acquired and traumatic brain injuries as well as neurodegenerative disorders for purpose of establishing cognitive functioning and suitability for return to work.

Dr Jaswyn adopts a person-centred approach to therapy where she believes in working collaboratively with individuals through the process of recovery. At the same time, she also believes in evidence-based practice and seeks to provide interventions that are in line with well-established clinical guidelines. She is trained in various therapeutic modalities including cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and eye movement desensitization reprocessing therapy (EMDR).

Dr Jaswyn has a keen interest in research and development of health care apps to deliver easily accessible, affordable and effective psychological interventions to others. Lastly, Dr Jaswyn is also a registered Clinical Supervisor who have trained junior, associate and intern psychologists. She believes in nurturing young psychologists to improve their competencies in improving the mental wellness of those in need.

 

**According to current Ministry of Health (MOH) Healthcare Services Act (2020), psychologists with doctoral qualifications are to have a disclaimer of a non-medical or non-dental qualification.
